Mobiiworld is a Dubai digital agency whose most verifiable credential has nothing to do with mobile apps. Acquia, the company that commercialises Drupal, named Mobiiworld its Partner of the Year Global for 2023, one of 24 partners recognised in that announcement. On Clutch the firm publishes an average rate of USD 50 to 99 per hour, which converts at the pegged rate to roughly AED 184 to 363, against a minimum project size of USD 25,000, roughly AED 92,000. Those two facts describe the business better than the services menu does: an enterprise web and digital experience shop with an app practice attached, priced above offshore and below a Dubai studio.
That positioning is a genuinely good fit for one kind of buyer and the wrong shape entirely for another. If you are replacing a corporate web platform, running Drupal at scale, or buying something that has to survive a procurement review, the rate is reasonable and the Acquia credential is real and checkable. If your actual problem is one internal tool, a first version to test whether anyone wants the thing, or three systems that refuse to pass data to each other, the published minimum alone is five to ten times what that work costs. Fixed-scope builds in this market run AED 9,000 to 18,000 across about two weeks.

Everything below is either something Mobiiworld publishes about itself, something a public directory shows, or a number from our own price list. Anything we invented about their code quality would be worth nothing to you.
What Mobiiworld is once you read past the app pages
Mobiiworld presents itself as a Dubai-based, full-service design and development agency, founded and run by Dhaval Desai, who is listed on LinkedIn and Crunchbase as founder, CEO and CTO. Its site claims more than 15 years in the market. No filed incorporation date is public, so treat the 15 years as self-description, the same way you should treat every "since 2009" line in this category.
The service list covers iOS, Android and native app development, augmented reality, ecommerce, and CMS work. Clutch puts ecommerce at around 30 per cent of the firm's service focus, spanning Magento, Shopify and WooCommerce. The part that carries independent proof is the Drupal and Acquia side. Acquia's own partner directory lists Mobiiworld as an Elite partner, and Acquia's 2023 partner award announcement names it Partner of the Year Global. The company also announces an EMEA partner award for 2024; Acquia's 2024 release recognised 22 organisations, and we could not confirm the EMEA line item from public sources, so take the second award as a company claim until you see it in the winners list.
Headcount is fuzzy. ZoomInfo shows a band of 51 to 200 employees, which is an aggregator estimate built from scraped signals rather than filed accounts. Addresses drift too: HiDubai and localsearch.ae list an office in Green Community, Dubai Investments Park, while Craft.co carries a Gold Crest Executive Tower address. Neither is a red flag on its own, since agencies move and directories go stale. It does mean the sensible first request is a trade licence copy with the current address on it, which you should ask of any vendor including us.
The published numbers, converted into dirhams
Clutch is the most useful public source here because it verifies the rate and minimum rather than accepting a marketing page.
- Average hourly rate USD 50 to 99, which is AED 184 to 363 per hour.
- Minimum project size USD 25,000, about AED 92,000.
- Five client reviews on the main Clutch profile, with a second profile listed separately under Mobiiworld Technologies LLC.
- GoodFirms carries a company profile with no reviews submitted.
Clutch's own summary of that review corpus describes project costs in the USD 59,000 to 85,000 range, roughly AED 217,000 to 312,000. Read that as what a handful of reviewers happened to spend, not as a rate card the company publishes.
Now run the arithmetic, because the arithmetic is the honest part. AED 92,000 at the top of their rate band buys about 250 engineering hours. At the bottom of the band it buys about 500. The observed project band of AED 217,000 to 312,000 works out to roughly 600 hours at the expensive end of the rate and roughly 1,700 at the cheap end. In staffing terms that is a small team for two to five months. It is a serious number for a founder testing an idea and an ordinary one for a company replacing a customer-facing platform.
How that rate reads against the Dubai market
Here is where the same money sits across the local market, using the bands from our own mobile app development cost guide for Dubai:
- MVP on one platform, limited screens: AED 18,000 to 92,000, typically six to eight weeks.
- Mid-market business app with backend, admin panel and integrations: AED 92,000 to 294,000, two to five months.
- Complex multi-role platform: AED 294,000 to 735,000, five to nine months.
- Dubai-based studio rate: AED 400 to 900 per hour.
- Offshore team with genuine UAE project experience: AED 90 to 180 per hour.
Mobiiworld's AED 184 to 363 lands in the gap between those last two lines. It is above what an offshore team charges and below what a Dubai studio charges, which is the pricing signature of a firm that carries a UAE entity and a local client-facing team while keeping delivery cost under a Dubai payroll. The published minimum sits exactly at the ceiling of the MVP band, and the projects reviewers describe sit at the top of the mid-market band and the entrance to the complex one.
Two lines almost never appear in a first quote from anyone, and they decide whether the project turns out expensive. Annual maintenance runs 15 to 25 per cent of the build price, and three-year total cost of ownership typically reaches 1.8 to 3 times the build once hosting, store fees and change requests are counted. Payment gateway integration is a separate AED 11,000 to 29,000 per gateway. Ask for the 36-month figure in writing before you compare two proposals, because a cheaper build with hourly support from day 31 often ends up costing more than the expensive one.
What the reviews say, soft spots included
Five verified reviews is a thin sample, and thin samples deserve a light touch. What is there is consistent. Clients reviewing Mobiiworld on Clutch praise the project management specifically, describing an active project manager with visible involvement from senior management, and they praise responsiveness after launch. Named clients in that review set include Bina Construction and MigrateNow. The recurring criticism inside the same corpus is occasional miscommunication between the project manager and the delivery team, in some cases attributed to language barriers. Value for cost is described as strong while the price is described as being on the higher side, which is an unusually candid combination to find on a directory profile.
Glassdoor shows 4.1 out of 5 from 34 employee reviews, with 78 per cent saying they would recommend the company to a friend, and compensation rated 3.8. An older snapshot of the same page shows 3.9 from 28 reviews, which tells you how much a handful of entries moves the number at that sample size. The written reviews split the way small agency profiles usually split: developers describing fast learning and varied projects on one side, complaints about job security and payroll timing on the other.
The company publishes claims we could not independently confirm: more than 50 iOS applications launched on the App Store, a Cannes Lions win in 2016, and recognition from Dubai Lynx, SL Magazine and Stevie's. Those appear on Mobiiworld's own pages and in directory copy that repeats them almost verbatim. Public award archives did not surface a confirmation in our checks. That is not evidence the awards did not happen, since award databases are patchy and agency credits often sit under a client or a lead agency name. It does mean the Acquia award is the one to lean on, because Acquia published it themselves.
A better way to read any of these profiles: filter to reviews from the last 12 months, filter to projects within about 50 per cent of your budget, and read the project management score separately from the overall. Slippage shows up there first.
Who they actually fit
Mobiiworld fits you if your build has a platform underneath it. Enterprise Drupal, an Acquia DXP implementation, a corporate site with multi-language and governance requirements, a large ecommerce migration. That is where the credential is verifiable and where the AED 184 to 363 rate buys something a freelancer cannot supply: a partner tier with the vendor, staffing depth when a deadline moves, and a UAE entity to contract with.
They also fit if you need the vendor to still exist in 2030 and to put four people on the project in the same week. A firm in the 51 to 200 band can do that. One person cannot.
Who they do not fit, and where to look instead
If your budget is under AED 90,000, Mobiiworld's published minimum answers the question for you. If you are testing demand, the ticket size is the problem rather than the quality. If your build is a native iOS and Android pair with heavy device features and no web platform underneath, the app practice is real but the strongest evidence about this firm points at DXP work rather than at mobile.
By segment, here is where else to look.
Large agency route, AED 92,000 to 735,000 across three to nine months. Mid-tier Dubai studio, AED 400 to 900 per hour. You pay three to five times an offshore rate, and what you buy with the difference is that coordination becomes somebody else's job and the contract sits under UAE jurisdiction. Worth it when you cannot write a specification yourself.
Blended setup, a UAE project manager at AED 8,000 to 15,000 a month sitting over an offshore team at AED 90 to 180 per hour. Effective cost lands near AED 200 to 320. It works when your spec is genuinely stable and fails when it is vague, because a distant team builds exactly what the document said and the gap only appears at demo.
Fast fixed-scope build, AED 9,000 to 18,000 across about two weeks. This is our lane, so weigh the next section accordingly.
Before you take any name from a "top 10 app developers in Dubai" listicle: a meaningful share of those firms have no UAE entity, and a meaningful share of the listicles are published by firms ranking themselves. A Dubai phone number is not a Dubai company. Ask for the licence number.
Where we sit, stated plainly
We are not a 200-person agency and we do not pretend to be one. Where an enterprise DXP programme with a two-year roadmap is the right answer, Mobiiworld is a more sensible call than we are, and saying otherwise would waste your time.
What we do is narrow on purpose. Scope fixed in writing before the first line of code, price published rather than quoted: AED 9,000 for an internal tool or working prototype in about two weeks, AED 18,000 for an MVP with authentication, data and payments. The technical part that matters: AI writes most of the code, and a human engineer reviews every line before it touches data or customers. Most of that AED 9,000 pays for the review step. We run the stack on ourselves before selling it. The agent handling enquiries for our studio business answers in under 60 seconds at 3am on a Saturday with the same quality it manages at 9am on a Monday, writes to the CRM without anyone retyping anything, and sits under a business doing AED 67,600 net a month at roughly 5x ROAS.
What you give up at that price is real. No native iOS and Android pair with offline sync, no forty-screen platform, no QA department running a two-hundred-case regression suite.
And one honest note that costs us work: a large share of the app briefs we read describe a plumbing problem rather than a software problem. The CRM works, WhatsApp works, the ads work, and none of them talk, so a person retypes leads between them. That person costs roughly AED 2,000 a month in salary for machine work, and the delay between an enquiry landing and someone answering costs materially more, around AED 4,100 a month in our own measurements.
